Abstract or summary

COVID-19 has affected Black people and all aspects of Black life in many ways; this is especially true among LGBTQ+ people. How have Black queer people managed during this pandemic and what does resilience look like for them? Many continue to experience exclusion and systemic marginalization and have suffered greatly from isolation and other social ills, such as homophobia and transphobia. For others, the story is different. This chapter offers a glimpse into what life has been like for some Black queer people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
